S52: Dogs and Cats; what humans can learn from mans best friend & a mansion’s best friend.

Some are dog people and some cat people.. similarly some have a dog’s loyalty and some a cat’s royalty.

In India and global english world, humans use abusive, slang or cuss words of “dog” or “bitch” for other unfriendly humans. but it’s not an insult to humans but an insult to dogs. As the loyality, friendship and partnership that dogs provide human are unparalleled in a symbiotic mammalian relationship.

No wonder these characteristics of dogs are valued as domestic pets, bomb squad members, Rescue team, blind assist dogs.. etc.. and they are rights termed a man’s best friend.

Why isnt it said to cats, why no one is referred as a cat when abusing?

Some points why so?

#Seven+ Colors of Marital-Life: Better Halves to Bitter Halves in Marriage-Spectrum.

#Marital-Relational Color Theory.

Discover the 7 Possibilities of Relationships in Families. Know to see the #Marital-Spectrum or #Relational-Spectrum From (Red_Black/-5) Materialistic-Risky to Spiritualistic-Safer Maritals(Violet_White/+5).

#Marital-Rainbow #RelationalSpectrum.

How to Gain knowledge & ability to Check & Identify what are the histories, presents & futures of our Relationships, Marital-Contracts & Families. Marriage is about 5 Ps of Marital_Parameters I.e

1.Puberty(Parental Pressures)

2.Proximity(Physical-Pleasures)

3.Prosperity (Professional-Measures),

4. Property (Public-Treasures/ Spiritual-Treasures) and

5. Progeny (Baton_Succesors, Planetary-Annexures).

By Time based classification

0. In animalistic society there were no marriages as there is zero civility, it can be opportunistic & incestuous.

1. Ancient Tribal-Marriages were for naturalism, community & practicality,

2. Current Modern-Global Marriages are tending towards Materialism, Power-Status, Dominance and control, &

3. Golden Civic-Cultural Marriages are to Empower, Serve and Contribute Sustainance to Self & Society.

Key-Concepts: #Marriage-Spectrum, Weddings Vs Marriages, Romantic-Love Vs Spousal-Love, Marital-RainBow, Weddings is a start given by Venus(Love), Marriages is a journey through Mars(War). Marital-Rationality, Knowledge-Gap in Home-Science. Good(White) to Bad(Black) Marriage Spectrum. #Marital-Compatibility Mapping. Violet-Spiritual Vs Red-Material-Marriages. #Marital-Sciences, #Marital-ColorCoding, #Marital-Safety.

Most Basic education lacks concept-awareness of difference between Love Vs Lust, Love-Marriage Vs Arranged-Marriage Vs Fraud-Marriage. This post is to help the Knowledge-Gap.

What are Basic Essentials & Ingredients of a Valid_Proper Marriages?

Factors impacting Marriage/Maritals/Relationship = (1.Biological+ 2.Social+ 3.Legal+ 4.Physical_Sexual+ 5.Psychological+ 6.Financial-Ecological +7.Religious +8.Cultural+ 9.Political+ 10. Environmental+ 11.SuperSystemics.)

Above Factors with Matching & Compatibility. Different Combinations, permutations & intensities of these factors produce different Colours and Shades of Marriages_Relationships . Like the Marital Spectral Color Wheel.

What are The 7- kinds /types of Marital-Relationships?

Most Indians are aware of only 3 kinds of Marriage Arranged-Marriages, Love-Marriages & Deranged-Marriages. But there are More 7+ kinds of Marriages which are listed here.

Based on the way the marriages start there are 2 classifications I.e:

Initial Coupling & weddings pre-determined, proposed, fixed and executed mainly by the Spouses individually themselves with lesser involvement of their families-friends its termed as 1. Love marriage eg: shown in Bollywood films Maine pyar kiya, Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenge & Families: Hritik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan etc..(Essential Ingredient:  Prior Acquaintance & 121 proposal relationship of spouses before marriage),

& Marriage-weddings proposed, fixed, executed and supported with prior and higher involvement of Spousal-families before spouse it can be termed as 2. Arranged marriage (There is no Prior relations between spouses before marriage). And within Arranged there are

A. Wisely Arranged Marriage (Better & Full Process & Right Marital Standards I.e  less Risky & more safe) Violetish-Marriages and

B. Badly Arranged Marriage ( less M.Q and incomplete process and procedures with low marital-standards, more risky & less safe) Reddish-Marriages.

Whats the Real deep Difference between Love, Lust, Wedding & Marriage?

1. Love is more engagement of higher-desires of belonging to people and places for collective-excellence (Pre frontal Cortex function Upper 3-Chakras), Love for ideals, culture, people, person etc.(more We & Ours-ism) More of Serotonin, Endorphin & Oxytocin Driven (Long term Relationships). Foundation of love is in truer perceptions & open-receptions.

2. Lust is engagement of lower desires of longing for procurement of things & procreation of selfish-excellence (only Me & Mine-ism). Biochemically Driven by Sex hormones (Testosterone-Estrogen) & Dopamine-Cortisol(Illegal Illicit Sex) (Short term flings & affairs). Foundations of lust is in false presumptions and hidden deceptions.

3. Wedding socially is an event committed on 1 or 2 days & legally its Acceptance & Signing and mark of shake hand of the Marital-Contract between the spouse. This may have pre-nuptial agreements (Implied-unexpressed, Expressed Oral or Written and registered). Register marriages have wedding in the register office. With photography as declaration of the Contractees and social Eye witnesses.

4. Marriage is a life-long commitment and performance of the unknown, unwritten & unsigned but morally understood Socio-legal Contract. Wedding is a One-day Event a milestone, Bonafide-Marriage is a one-life commitment a journey towards Mutual Prosperity (for the loyal) & for the disloyal seeMala fide-Marriage it’s a way to more property, progeny and resource for exploitation of spouse/spouses.

Malafide Marriages are subset of Risky-Red and unpredictable are the Marriages.
More Bona Fide Verified the Spouses/Clan/Marriages the more Safer & predictable can be the marriages.

By using Principle of Reasonable_Classifications found 7 Categories of Marital Relationships are possible. If more are perceivable plz post in comment. Each marriage is dynamic and like a sapling and tree needs constant care and efforts.. the colors can change depending on many factors.

For example in Ramayan RamSita Marriage started as Violet-Marriage @Ayodhya, Became Blue in Forests, then Red with Intervention by A Marital-Invader, then became Green when Rescued later it became a white-marriage.

What Color is your Marriage-State right now?

Like Seven Colours on a Rainbow, these are the 7 Seven Colours of the Marital-Vow.. Color-Coding of Marriages. Violet spectrum closer to Light-White & Red spectrum closer to Dark-Black.

An attempt to view and recognize all the halves in the world in one page. Vasudaiva Kutumbakam, Whole world is a Family.. yes but what kind of family?.. These are the categories by chance for some and by choice for some.

(We can observe the full Spectrum at the same place in socially ultra liberal & legally polygamous Communities & countries). As most of the modern marito-legal world is subscribing to the Monogamous and criminalized- Bigamous-Marital System the other systems are also seen as marital-minorities.

In the English language and common societies’ at many times/places we may have come across a phrase ‘Better-Half’. We may have for various reasons superficially accepted and moved on with the meaning and understanding. By personal-Assumptions and social-prejudices. Have you heard and introspected on the phrase and it’s implications for your parenting, Marrying and Procreating?

We can observe that there is a Spectrum of Categories to be seen here between the extremes of Better-Halves (High Collaborations(Benefit), Lower Competitions(Risks) and Bitter-halves (Zero Collaborations, Higher Competitions) this post intends to shine some light on this dark area of ‘Home-science’ or Couples-art or “Inter-genders Symbiosis”. Do leave your ideas for others in comments to help in improving the collective understanding of this phenomena of marital-coupling (Secretive-Couplings too).

Marital Compatibility= CoOperatibility (+ve Aligning-Factors) –Conflictability (-ve Alienating-Factors)

3 Critical Factors of Modern Marital Couples-Systems.

1. Better Halfs (Violet-Indigo Luxury Marriage)(Near to Whiter area): (High Coopertability, Low Conflictability), When each spouse is relatively better (cumulatively -Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Ethically, Financially, Familially, Socially, Spiritually.. etc) than the other in a relationship thus complementarily making the sum of both better than the individuality of two. When the match maybe made for heaven for creating heaven on earth. With the spirit of collaboration and better future for all. Eg. The Kenned ys, MK Gandhi-Kasturba, The Obama-couple and other couples like them do leave your ideal-couple list in comments.

2. Equal Half (Orange&Pink-Marriage): (High Cooperation, High Competition) When the Spouse Is same as the other in all aspects even biological. Homosexual Partners. Eg. Freddie mercury & his partner, Queen Singer lesbian or gay or Intersex partners of same gender and orientation type. Match made in alternate-Eden made for instead of Adams & Eves but for Adam and Steve, or Ada and Eve, or Adma and Even(Trans-Couple). Also Narcicuss-Marriage or Sologamy, one Indian example married to self..

3. Equitable Half (Cool Blue-Green Marriage):(High Compatibility, Low Conflictability), When the spouse though are different (compatible-gender.. etc) they complement(Male-Female) each other in most aspects physically, emotionally, socially, Financially, Morally & spiritually. It’s a match made on earth with spirit of Cooperation. Eg. The Curies, Madam Curie, NarayanaMurthy & Sudha Murthy and Couple-people like them who are less competing/conflicting, and more Mutually-cooperating/collaborative in family & Socially-Contributive . Longest married couples:

4. Seperated/Departed Halves(Yellow): These are couples who may have been together for sometime eventually they have been seperated by Mutual Consent Divorce or Deaths or Religious Renunciation (Sanyasa) by various reasons (incompatibility, conflicting personal demands, affairs, imprisonment, mental issues, death, etc): EG: Bill & Melinda Gates(2021), (High Compatabilty changes to High Conflictability but resolvable later in relationship).

5. Sweet and Sour marriage(Orangish-Brown). Like hypothetical LaxMan-Surpannakha marriage in Ramayana. Surpanakha was a shape-shifter an ugly-personality in a beautiful-body, similarly modern cosmetics and use of silicone to increase the 2BPs(Boobs, Butts & Penis enlargements) are done to visually attract victims for trapping. Happy couples with 4 kids and gud life with bitter sour divorce can be Orange marriage. Eg. https://newsingermany.com/kim-kardashian-and-kanye-west-agree-to-200000-in-alimony-after-divorce/

6. Bitter Halves(Red):(Low Compatibility, High Conflictability), When it’s a match made in hell, if spouse is incompatible, non-complementing and pro-conflicting in multiple aspects. When theres lot of friction and trauma within the relationship and the relationship is leading to turmoil and dark pit of Marital Discord. Eg. Bradpitt & Angelina Jolie(Branded Branjelina) and such troubled Couples: Shortest Married couples:(55 hours Britney Spears & Jason Alexandar), Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Case..

Sequence of Red Marriages can apply for women or inter-sex too basically Idealies-Devalue-Discard phases ending in 30yrs Hollow Man/ Nobody-Man.

4.(B) BITE-R Half (Bloody Red-Marriage(InfraRed-Hot): alias Battered_Half (Bonus _Bogus-CateGORY Subset of Bitter-Half) Theses are entities(pure evil in Human form) inspired by Twilight Vampire Movies, they are not Metaphorical Vampires but real who can kill people by Biting them to death.. (Female Biter-Half) see this recent news https://www.hindustantimes.com/cities/patna-news/woman-chokes-husband-to-death-with-teeth-in-rohtas-101650819276056.html

https://badmarriages.net/judy-buenoano-goodyear/

7. Buttered Halves (UltraViolet-Marriage): These are individuals/couples who are pampered due to access to contributing social systems and resources. Eg Ziona and his 39 wives: & For women in free Ultra-liberal communities coupling in few countries. This may not recommended as it may cause socio-biological(genetic) issues in long term with unhealthy genes downstream. Situation with higher Gender-Imbalance in Demographics.. Higher Male Ratio in population can tend to PolyAndrous-Maritals(Haryana) and Higher Female Ratio can tend towards Polygynous-Maritals(NE States).

8. Non-Halves or Full-Halves (Colorless-Marriage) i.e Singles married with Life/God, Singles with no need or opportunity to mingle: These are Celebate-souls or Celebrated-Souls who are wholesome & complete by themself, not needing any other half or quarter to complete their lives. They are free souls, unbound and unrestricted by Marital vows or voes and vices. They may be asexual or amaritals or renunciates, Eg. Vivekananda, Abdul Kalam, Vajpayee, Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Kamaraj, Mother Theresa, Sister Nivedita, Monks, Nuns.. etc

They are Singles in a Relationship who have no need for halves but may marry for external/Family/societal pressures and not necessarily for internal/personal/Social pleasures.

There is a perceivable Normal Distribution curve in every group dynamics. Many in the popular media and literature may have been exposed to the brighter or darker side of things, knowing the spectrum of grey areas and dark risks can help one in their journey of relational life.

The spectrum can be a positively balanced or imbalanced depending on the Bitter to better halves ratio of our society. There is a need for *Relational Education* not only Sex or gender education which is to be upgraded in our humanities education systems. This education can reduce the civil mismatches & Marital Discords while it can prolong the Societies average marital success stories & marital/family happiness index of the nation.

The spousal relation is not static it has dynamic phases dependant on Internal-Factor of the Individual and External Factors of both spouses & families.

Like 1. Hitch (Stich-Hook), 2. Switch (Cheat-BigamySwap), 3. Snitch (Back-inform,Conspire, Fake Case), 4. Bitch (BackStab-Adulteries) & 5. Ditch (Betray-Deserter) or 6. Reach (Trusted-Successors).

3. Important Marital-Info for Bachelors:

If you are a bachelor looking for a bride or you are looking for a bride for your son , for God’s sake please be informed about IPC section 498a which can be used to loot you & your family. Please follow the below checklist to make sure you are not getting a 498a wife or daughter in law. It would be better if you can hire a detective to gather the informations mentioned below. This would save you from the huge humilation, harassment that you & your family may face in police custody/jail, Courts & Mental-Hospitals.

  • Check whether someone from the girl’s father’s family or mother’s family has ditched her husband for trivial reasons and staying in her parent’s house. Separated and Alienating Pseudo-Single Parents.
  • Know If the girl or entity that you are going to marry is currently having a full fledged relationship with someone who is a frequent visitor to the girl’s house – stay away
  • If the girl is having a relationship affairs with her brother in law or her close relative or colleagues on tinder- stay away she is in union already wants you to just be a social-face so as to save here darker-face.
  • Check whether the girl’s family is in deep debt (lot of home loans, car loans) and their income is less than their spending. They are morally-bankrupt.
  • If both the girl’s parent are working , be double cautious , girls with lot of freedoms can really be troublesome
  • Make sure there is not much difference in economic status between your family and girl’s family
  • Make sure the girl is a good match to you physically. (example if she is fat and you are too thin, think again, do try Bi-change, wait see change and marry)
  • If the girl starts saying things like “I love you ,etc.” before marriage trying to court and seduce you, just do not get melted or erected, 90% of the time she may be just acting as told by her parent to trap you, so check for true-deeper intentions to marry-YOU.
  • if the girl has got a close lawyer relative and the lawyer is not earning much from his practice, be extra cautious. Verify whether the lawyer is ready to fight a fake 498a case against men.
  • If the girl/fiancee is very hot(High Demand/Sexy+Risky) and hot tempered(Difficult-Emotional-Toxic), better to check & avoid if you don’t have resources to defend your home-family from marital-invaders.. eg. Of cases of Padmavati of Rajasthan, Sita of Ayodha, Royals of Troy, Prince of British Royal Family.
  • If you believe in astrology , for God’s sake get both of your kundali matched by a good astrologer
  • If you are not taking any dowry , better put in writing that “No dowry was exchanged in this marriage” in a stamp paper and get it signed by the girl and her parent

Spoke with Co-Attenders asked them about their dearones health, also about the emergency patient who came in yesterday evening. They told the person passed away and the body taken by the family and friends at 19:00 hrs yesterday.

They shared that person was aged about 40yrs and was very physico-socially active as it was Sunday the person was at a game of football and had chest pain. Hse drove Hself by 2 wheeler to the hospital emergency with the heart attack pain(1).  I/V had seen what happened after that too while waiting here. Hse Spouse & 2 Children & 9 Relatives-Friends were emotionally expressive of their sadness, fear-loss & grief in the Waiting area.

We were worried for them, and heard them pray and sit in contemplation for their dearone.

We saw this happen and more people arrive at for 3 hrs. The scene at the waiting room was of high octane emotions.

Other patients were trying to pacify the emotionally high 4 individuals.

But there was lot of Dissonance in the area. The resonance was provided by my mother too who was trying to get the 3 family members to the waiting/Wailing area from inside of the air screen/buffer area.

I and another attender were asking the security guard to ask the wailing attenders to move to another room as it was causing anxiety to the heart patients inside and attenders outside.

S50: Shri SadaSivan; Sharing Cherished Memories of my Grandpa.

Sadathatha is my mothers lovable father, my fathers respected father-in-law(He had a reciprocation relationship of love and honor) and a dear knowledgeable grandpa to me( I like to think he liked me too as a  Grandson) and a dear respected loved soul to our family members. Today 14/2/21 we remember him on his death anniversary. Dedicating my 50th Blog post to him and his fond memories.

He used to be slim and fit tall personality, I used to find him most times deeply engrossed in reading or in spiritual rituals, he had a complementary character to my Paternal Grandpa Raman Thatha(You may click to find his memories here).

While Raman Thatha was less educated, my maternal grandpa was highly regarded graduate from his family. He loved to read and write he was multilingual (Could Read,Write & speak in English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu & Tamil too). I hear many stories about him from my parents and relatives. He had a band of brothers and they used to perform devotional songs in events.

He was sort of a polyglot, he was an officer in the railways and was self taught musician playing the Harmonium and violin may be Tabla too.

I loved to be in his presence even when he and my grandma visited us at Bangalore(Bengaluru now) he used to go through my books and have a discussion with me regarding them. His favourite book in our library was the oxford pocket dictionary. I still have his image etched in my memories of him sitting in my room sitting on the bed holding the book reading and playing a rhythm with his fingers on his balding head. It was amusing to observe him. His smile & also his false dentures he used to remove and keep it out while eating. He had certain rituals with his shaving set box and also his praying style I remember the bright white conch & black lingam at the altar he used to worship.

Actually my cousins, uncles/aunts and parents may know more about him than me, but here I would like to share a few memories I cherish of him.

I remember about him from the old black/white photos and sepia like photos of him as an young man. He was also a football player a captain in team too. May be the early training helped him to stay slim and fit all his life.

He was a teetotaler and never a smoker too. A highly disciplined and soft spoken character.

I remember tours with him to Kesara Gutta, Dharmasthala, Nandi Hills & places around Bengaluru & Hyderabad. He used to be a silent but observant leader. My mom has a record of the annual family trips to holy places around India that the family visited, it amounts to about 30 plus in 10 years.

He was a well travelled, well read person, he was a subscriber to the divine life society of Swami Sivananda and was a avid follower of Gandhi and practitioner of Gandhian principles too. I remember he owned a foldable charaka at Secunderabad.

I loved to visit him and my uncle aunt and cousins at Hyderabad, it was a second home to me. Though I love Bangalore and our people here. Hyderabad is my maternal hometown. A place of caring souls who have been the closest to my & my parents hearts even though far away by distance, we are always welcome there and showered with love and affection by one & all.

Used to look forward to the Diwali and Christmas holidays to go on a rail trip to Hyd-Secunderabad to visit my Grandparents and relatives.

My Grandpa on their visit here used to pick me up from school too, and on our walk back home we used to chat a lot. Once I asked him about a lake called Bande and he was so informed and knowledgeable he told me about the Ground water table and also we spoke about plants.

I observed while walking he had a peculiar habit. If he found a stone on the road he used to kick it aside, I asked him why when people just let the stone be on road why was he clearing it. I can remember he told me someone coming behind us may trip on it, isn’t it good that we make the road safe for others too. This created a deep impression in me about his altruistic nature. Here was a soul who genuinely cared about others in his community, I think he was a volunteer a person also to operate on the street lights in his area and neighborhood during his walks.

We also had a discussion about meditation and siddhis. I think in my closest circle he was a man of honor and respect. I miss his presence. He has given us a lot, me very much the memories, the wisdom, the guidance and his blessings. I tried to emulate him by reading his books, trying to read on Gandhi( Grandpa used to specially celebrate Gandhi Jayanthi at Home) and Swami Sivananda also trying to learn music to play Violin like him.. Its tough to follow him.

He inspires me to be like him a volunteer, a reader, a leader, an empath and a good character(Time Sense, Planning, Care(Scorpion Bite Help, Letter Writing for other illiterates, Tour and travel management, relationship building across Space-Time etc), for his family and communities.

Dear Grandpa,

You have been a wonderful grandpa, who loved us, I am very grateful to all that you taught us and shared with us.

I value all those wonderful times and journeys we shared together. You were a dear friend, Thank You, Thank you.

Your Grandson,

Guru

A Poem for Sada-Thatha.

Your slim frame and the house name I remember still today,

Your reclining hammock chair was my favorite place to play,

The environment you created for us around you Thatha,

The safer roads, the well lit streets for us & others’ ratha,

We may have spent very little time with you but you made it count,

The books & lives you touched may be huge in your karmic account.

I am grateful that you lived a life of example for us,

The Gandhian you were, I had never heard you cuss,

The legacy you left behind with us as our grandfather we cherish,

Your footsteps in time beside ours are ones we shall ever nourish.

I wish we had spent more time with each other,

You had raised us even me, dint my naughtiness bother?

I salute your character and soul that was there for us all,

We remember you when we see some like you fit and tall,

Wishing to treasure your memories that you had written,

With your toothless smile and bold forehead I’m smitten,

I love you grandpa this I never knew until we lost you physically.

Thankful that you survive in us emotionally and spiritually

Your Grandson.

S49: My friend Simon & Our 30 Years of Friendship.

Friends & Family are real co-passengers in the train on journey of life. Today is Simon my childhood best Friend’s Birthday and I felt like writing this Post for Him, my friends & our friendships.

Sharing here snapshots from this journey of friendship with a dear friend Simon. We are childhood friends since 1991 its 30yrs this year 2021. When I joined Lowry Memorial(SDA) an ICSE school in 4th Standard little did I know the “memorial’ in its name meant so many ‘memories’ for us. Its a good school next to the Iconic K.R Puram Bridge in Bengaluru and we as kids from school knew how small the old bridge was, We as teens saw the construction of the bridge from the bus stop.

I was a thin kid, Simon was my polar opposite a chubby kid. It was like friendship of Laurel and Hardy. And in life too we both got our own shares of laurels and hard times. some relationships are special time tested they shine like diamonds after being under pressure.

Being a new student in class I at start made few friends like Somu and Kulothungan.. as we sat nearby at desk. Simon I dont remember where he used to sit. I remember the 4th std was a moment of coping with new school as there were bullies and strict teachers to be scared about too.

The School was a big campus with lot of trees, gardens, Open grounds, Diary Bakery and agricultural lands too. It was one of a kind school in the area well respected for its education and facilities its school with Saturday Sabbath Holidays too. We had something called recess time, a Bio break, funny to imagine as the bell rang.. all guys rushed out to the outdoor toilet and since it was full and not maintained well guys used to piss in the fields too, and have competitions on who can piss the furthest or highest(Hahaha Boys will be boys) Our champ was D.S. (Talk about Fertilizing Urea to fields with Urine),(Only gross thing in post dont be scared to read on:)).

As I started to get accompanied with the routes to school via main road a high way, I dont remember how exactly it came that I got acquainted with Simon as one of the sub group of friends. Coincidentally his home too was on the way back to my home via the “bande‘” a huge quarry hole it had become a big pond, a risky road. My dad used to drop me to school and So we started to walk back home together. I used to accompany him to his home and then walk towsrds my home through narrow lanes of Andhra Colony of Tin Factory area.

I remember in middle school we started to have lunch together Simon, me and other friends(Mohmmed Miraj, Sunil & Sanjay Mishra) we used to have a designated place near the bell tree next to the mulberry plants and High school complex. Later we shifted to near the Chapel Corner outside Simon’s friends house. We had excellent Computer lab and science lab facilities. Also PU, TCH and Hostels with NE children from Meghalaya, Mizoram etc. It was really a multi-regional school.

I got introduced to his wonderful grandma we called her Ammachi(90+ yrs God bless her- she’s a retired Teacher from TN) and his parents and sister. They all are really good friendly people. I am grateful to the love and wonderful moments shared at their home & Movies(King Kong & Anniyan @ Pushpanjali). The times sitting on Mats on the warm roof together on their terrace looking at the moon & stars. Was a feeling of belonging and friendship I cherish, also the intricate glass items at his place. His grandma used to teach us like in a tuition(my first Tuition Teacher) where Simon and me used to do our homework together. While she used to listen to a Tamil Radio on a silvery Radio, they used to have a money plant at the window-door too..

We used to play together also watch TV & movies together too (Bro I Got to return you CDs that I Borrowed 10 yrs back), he used to come home too to play games and spend time together as friends, as our house was lonely with no neighbhours on either side and 2 instance of burglary in it so we had a dog, an untrained mongrel usually we used to tie it on the stairs. It used to be acquainted with our regular house guests but when its mood is bad, it used to get aggresive suddenly even with me(got bitten twice) and my dad. We had a difficult time to control it(I wish some Dog whisperer was there for us) it used to climb on people friendly and scare them. Once when Simon came home, I Instead of taking the dog away by mistake told Simon to come thinking its acquainted with him, he also trusted and walked near door, it jumped on him I remember him getting scared and he walked away. I think it was a hurtful thing for our friendship. Once Simon also was bullied by a Senior in school for having stood up and complained about a cheater(Copying chits) in exam, a friends elder brother was threatening him. I was a mock spectator of this threatening I dint know what to do as a friend. I wish I had known about the bystander intervention and supported my friend. I too was punched in my eye, previously held up by the scrotum by bullies in my school so was scared myself and wasn’t aware. (BAD EFFECTS OF watching WWF on TV replication). At that One time I regret I could have been a better and stronger friend and stood up for him against the bullying.

In school together we had seen through A friend loosing his dad at an young age, another losing his young brother to kidnap & killing found on KR puram lake, love struck friends, accidental death by swing, kid drowning in bucket, 2 friends loosing their sibling to suicide, Nalle Ba urban legend, Cycling and playing cricket at ITI, Final 10th exams at Mahadevapura Govt school, etc we had done many crazy & unique things as kids.

May be it triggered another fight, I dont remember how it started during the lunch time, my version is my lunch box got accidentally dropped some carelessness and I was blaming him for it was so petty thing I could have let it go, but we were angry at eachother. And we broke our friendship for over a year when we dint talk with each other.

The peacemaker for us was ammachi(his grandma), may be when I was in 7th or 8th. She told me to let go and be friends again. I said ok but I dint know how to rebuild the friendship. We were in 2 different sections of class now in high school 8-9th . I cudnt meet him in school and I dint go to his home too.. And then it happened a magical moment as I was walking back home I remember near New Light hotel at corner of K.R Station Simon was walking ahead and I approached him from the right put my left arm on his shoulder and said “Hi Simon“. He turned and just smiled and we chatted & walked back together and rebuilt our broken friendship, one step at a time home wards.

We have been keeping track of each others journeys and also may have played some part in it too, though I studied in a different school SDA in Tenth I was one of top 5 in class @ Spencer rd branch, We were lucky enough to study in the same Pre-university college CATS though he & HRehman were from a different class(PCMB) I made many friends thanks to J & R (Shanawaz, Diwakar etc) and me in PCMC (Sam, Vinodh, Sandeep, Prasad, Ashwin etc)

We travelled in Bus together boarding at Railway Station getting down at B Station and boarding at MayoHall.

And friends used to come home as it was on the way, they were prompt on time.. as I developed some kind of IBS at those stressful teenage years, I used to get delayed in the mornings and my friends used to wait for me, it was awkward (Sorry brothers if I made u wait it’s due to irregular nature’s call, Now I think I would have advised my younger self to eat earlier and wake up early to be on time). I got bullied in college for topping good Marks in GAT(Galaxy Aptitude Test)(forced to go sit in back bench by a nexus of dominant group of boys) & English test by some Competitive nerds (Peer Jealousy) too..and once crossing the road from school I told Simon i dont want to top in class and this was my self fulfilling prophecy my motivation to excel had dropped and I struggled in my final exams. (Tip to friends: dont talk critical matters on road, it’s a deep discussion talk in private where we get good acoustics and comfortable environment, There is less scope for misunderstandings and more chances of right resolution)

I had visited most of Simon’s Education(Mission college & GCC) & workplaces like ITC-infotech(later in time)(BBM) where he worked hard to fund for his MBA, Aditya Birla(Near Spencer rd Internship), Bhoruka Gas(Mahadevapura), MaFoi(Anjaneya Complex), Wipro(Ecity)(Coincidentally we arranged for a lunch meetup(2011) together near his office we ordered food and I received a shocking call that shattered me, he was there at such crucial moments beside me by Gods grace) and recent company I met him by luck on the road near his office on Ring road(Serendipity).

I used to remember his landline phone number, I have heard his gym and back slip story it pained me too scary, I remember it when I go to gym lucky he cured it naturally just like his eyesight(He was nicknamed Dumma(Fatty), Dadiya and Soda butti(Wearing Thick Glass) I disliked why people called him so (Luckily by his will power and long walks he maintained his slimness later). His liking for Indian Trains( The Push & Pull train we used to watch from School also was visible then was ITPL which was called Singapore Complex, coincidentally our school was near rail coach factory & a Rail Station.

We(Rehman & me) used to go on long walks initiated by him to Nekkundi lake, Byappanahalli & ITI colony on weekends, it was really fun thing to do. Theres so many memories associated at SDA school If I share it may take 100 pages, I shall focus here for Simon’s Stories.

Simon is a special friend, a best friend who has stood by me in times of victory & loss..Life has been a roller coaster ride, and it’s really a reassuring to have people who understand us and care about us and sometimes much more than one does about themselves. This I learnt later in school when I read the play The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare about loyal Friendship of Antonio & Bassanio (it increased my trust in friendships), while my brother & his friends in ICSE(2002) learnt about Julius Ceasar about betrayal (think negative topics should be avoided in impressionable minds without filters).

Friend in need is a Friend indeed,

I would like to acknowledge all my dear friends who like Simon have shared special friendships with list is big and in it especially Chronologically (Arun/Arvind-GuruMoorthy, Sandeep (Vasanthnagar), Kishan-Manjesh(Bsvngr), Sunil, Rehman, Joson , Sudesh & the Udaynagar Friends, Prafulla-Manju, Sam-Vinodh, Srikanth-Yohan, Venky-Lakshmi & archi gang, Santhosh, Gagan, Suraj & M.Des gang, Abhishek & IIScians, Ramachandra, Mathan, RR, MD, TK, P.I.. there are many more who I’m really grateful for their kindness and warmth during our shared time in journeys.. though many may not be in correspondence as much as before still the bonding and feeling remains as shared earlier.

Dear Simon,

Thank You for being such a good friend.. Happy Birthday Brother..

Your Dear Friend,

Poem on Friendship.

We board a train thinking about the destination,

Similarly in life we hop into an instituition,

We may find others too in the compartment,

Diverse group of people strangers in this predicament,

Among them we may find neutrals, bullies, allies and mentors,

The more good allies we find the happier is the journey,

These friends have our life’s treasure chest’s golden key.

A friend In need is a friend indeed,

A friend who reads you right is also a friend we all need.

People are special who with their unconditional care give us hope,

Come what may on this journey they are ones who give us power to cope.

We can learn a lot from our fellows, search not far you will find some near,

If you are not finding some in your life, you can be the one for others dear.

-GRP

People may become acquaintances by chance, people who stay with the journey by choice are the friends.
