During our education we may see all teachers are same.. but on a larger scale we will see there are minimum 3 degrees or categories the Good: Average and the Bad. I am ever indebted to her genuine love and care. And dedicated also to the various elder, same-age and younger sisters/brothers/cousins/colleagues who care, respect and relate to me as a brother (Anna, Thamma & Thambhi) and showered me with their trust, respect, affection, love & familial-loyalty and also to the great women whom I consider as my Indian sisters who are with mindset of the Indian ethos caring and respecting for all brothers and sisters with empathy.
Ranu Akkas Life Story (1970-1990s @ Bengaluru) in 20points @2022′.
She Ranu akka was a good soul born in a very difficult situation and circumstance. I shall briefly share her biography & shared memories with her point wise. She never tied me a Rakhi but I now feel the RakshaBandhan of the heart she connected with me.
1. She was the eldest daughter born but due to parental neglect (Alcoholic, eloping and Bigamous parent) had developed tuberculosis in childhood. Her parents had a Red-Black marriage.
2. Due to which she had her lung operated and only 3/4th lung capacity. She was very thin and looked very weak right from childhood.
3. We went to same school for 3years on Miller’s road. My dad used to drop me and we used to walk back home together.
4. I was an energetic, curious, naughty, rebellious and hyper active younger brother.(I think it was the overdose of Dairy milk chocolates & pampering by my uncles and aunts feeding junk food while I was at my Grandpas place. She had tolerated my antics.
5. She used to be one to call me up and wish me for my Birthday.
6. She had a very good school friend who helped her a lot JP akka from Ganganagar-Blr.
7. She used to buy me Bhel puri near school while returning home.. from her poor pocket money kept in her geometry box.
8. She encouraged me and enjoyed my dancing. She was my active-audience for dance.
9. We used to watch TV serials and study together.
10. She lost her eloping-father to alcoholism and Bigamy at an young age and also lost her eloping-mother to cancer later in life.
12. She had in multiple times all throughout life been operated and admitted in hospitals due to her health issue since childhood. Even then she never scorned or became hateful. She always was respectful and trustworthy with me.
13. She was taken care and funded by my uncles & father as brothers, as a care for their eloped-sister and her kids.
14. This care for sister was inspite of the damage her actions did to the families and clans honor. When she and family had been cheated by a man whom they helped & gave job to (He was also a Narc from abusive toxic family ).. eloping and marrying causing an insult & bad reputation for my grandparents, my other unmarried elder-uncles and aunt.
15. Inspite of this My grandpa’s site our ancestral property was generously gifted (or coercively acquired) to such a sister on basis of sympathy for her and families plight and misfortune (historically of their own doing). These transfers were by her done very early before anyone could know the realities and the blame was shifted to one innocent brother as a scapegoat of the family who was empathic and caring.
16. My relatives tried to get her married though she had health issues.. The groom demanded our grandpa’s site as dowry of marriage. This proposal with dowry was rejected.
17. Banu akka passed away around early 2000 in her 20s. I saw her pain when she was coughing a lot and was on ventilator and oxygen for a long time in her last days.
18. Later we came to know recently she had shared with another relative that a senior relative from Hyderabad (a Mr.Mental Mama) had fondled hard her breasts and caused pain to her though she was flat chested and thin. This was her inhuman child abuse in family poor child she endured all pain and humiliation. her father and brother also were child abusers which came to know later. This is how the virus of child sexual abuse like bullying abuse transfers through generations. From abusers to targets to victims to abusers.. this is the Abuse-cycle.
19. All the pain my sis Ranu suffered and struggle she faced I am a witness to.. as a young innocent and disempowered brother I could only watch but couldn’t understand her pains and life story.
20. Now on Raksha Bandhan day 2022 I remember her and acknowledge her sisterly love inspite of the internal pain and demons that hurt her as a child and young woman. The love care & respect she gave to me & my parents which we still remember her with affection and gratitude. She was a Sensible, Integrative and Super Sister. If situation was favourable she may have been a greater contributor to our society. She was a teacher and I want to share lessons from her life here.
