2. My Fathers Health Journey:Dr. Gajendran Raman my Dad is a Pre-Independence Born child. He was born as the 5th child in a family of 8 biological and 3 more adopted siblings. Total of 11 kids in a joined family with one Bread winner Father.
Born and Raised in Bengaluru he Studied medicine at Bengaluru Medical College the best college of his time of 70-80s. Worked for the Karnataka Govt Health Dept as a Medical Doctor 25+ years 1980-2007.
He Credits becoming a Doctor to his Parents and Siblings who motivated and supported him for education. He is a respectful student of RBANMs and St.Josephs, he Visited Government Libraries for his studies. He later joined the British Library for Medical Studies.
Dad’s felicitation for completing 75years of Amrit Kal. On 29/10/23.
He worked in Rural areas like Kudur, Anekal.. etc where he and his family if 3 wasn’t given houses by the dominant-upper classtes even though he was Government appointed health worker due to racial-casteism in these villages and he further served in dangerous risky medical hospitals like TB Isolation hospital where there were risk of epidemics and also high emergency ESI & KCGeneral Hospitals.
He finished his MBBS and DLO in 1976, he became a ENT Specialist. His Socio-medical Record and Family Timeline is Given below.
His Mother was a Diabetic died of Tobacco related cancer during his college days. He lost many studies due to grief and bereavement as he was emotionally close to his mom. Who made him spiritual and medical aspirer. He used to visit CMC Vellore for Cancer Treatment for his mom’s Throat cancer. Seeing the pain and suffering of his mom he also wanted to become a Doctor to help such cases. That’s one reason he took up ENT later in life.
He had hinself Hernia Operation at Victoria hospital as he became weak and thin.
He had been operated for Vasectomy and circumcision after marriage.
Corruption: At work He was asked to collect bribe from public patients in KR Puram Hospital, but he being a moral & honest official refused to collect bribe for which he was punished by transfer out of faraway district PHC. He fought legal case and with good help from an altruistic govt official Mr.N who became a Family Friend and he won back to proper place of re-transfer. He thus faced blocking by corrupt politician and officials from his own dept also at ESI. Cost of being uncorrupt honest official in a Corrupt and Biased System is hard.
He fought a legal battle against Neighbhours Site Encroachments into his site and rights in 2000 and also in 2021.
He was admitted for Heart attack and angioplasty in 2010. At Jayadeva Hospital operated by Dr.Manjunath, with 85% block in 2 arteries. He had Operated stent thank full to Dr.Das to fund the Operation.
He faced personal-stress of deaths in familes of close Brothers(Cardiac issue in Mallya, also Alcoholism) in 2007 and sister (family betrayal & elopement) in 70s, illhealth & death of Father & Father and Mother In Law (he loved them all).
He lost his close friends to heart attack of Dr.Venkatesh, and Dr. Subramaniam CGHS to Mistreatment of Natural Remedies. He faced a third attack in 2014 after planned triggered fight by his abusive_daughter inlaw in house, who came in through online-matrimony marital fraud and initiated maritolegal-abuse with narcy Outlaws(her parents the targetsm’s Inlaws) with no morals or mercy on elderly.(Narcs on bother for Narc-Supplies and nobody else).
He had trauma & stress of 23year Son’s Sudden self Death due to Academics and substance abuse and undmployment stress in 2011. And adopted 19year daughter’s elopement-betrayal and social-suicide estrangement and elders abuse in 2019.
He faced false dowry case as R3 by narc daughter in law and alienation of Grandchild since 2016. Due to which third attack admitted in Chinmaya Mission Hospital Indiranagar.
In 2020 he and wife both simultaneously admitted in manipal hospital during Covid In ICU for 15days. We were guided by Doc Fraternity thanks to Dr.Swaminathan his BMC classmate and longtime friend. All our relatives and friends prayed for their recovery and supported. Visited by 2 relatives Jamuna aunty and Ramesh uncle in ICU. It was the scariest moment as both hubby and wife in covid wards and ICU.
He had depression and anxiety attack due to family court cases inlaws-fraud & sodium and vitamins deficiency in 2017. And only sons unemployment due to fraud fake-cases legal harassment and Grandchild’s Parental Alienation since 1 year child from 2015.
He was vaccinated with covaxxin both doses too. Both at Manipal Malleshwaram.
Thus in Conclusion: All these life extreme stress event he overcame and is still thriving at all odds. This is his resilience and inner strength that is what makes him my hero in life. He is an inspiration as a first Doctor in his generation, first person in family to Serve as government doctor to villages, first person among his siblings to cross 75 years. First person to be allotted & build an individual house. Today he became first person in our family and extended family to receive honors as a 75+ year senior citizen. It’s a acknowledgement for his spirit and strength for good, happy & worthy life.

5. They received physio-care from SPARCC institute by Dr.Kannan Pughalendi for Spondilytis and knee problems which was cured by guided exercises. Son too did the Health fitness coaching instructor course in 2019, which helped him get fit too.
4. Post covid We as family took Atma Darshana Yoga by Yogi Devaraj Guruji in Judicial Layout Bluru in 2021. They were recognized and voted as best couple among the participants. Here they are conducting a great annual event in 2023. Named Global Yoga Summit in Bengaluru.
5. Both of parents have been receiving seniors citizens annual health analysis from Center for Brain Research IISc. Since 2019. With blood test and brain analysis by Nimhans and IISc.
