Big B.R.o. Ambedkar (A Poem for Ambedkar).

Big B.R.o., Brotherly and Rational,
Radical heart with a builder’s hand,
You cut through chains with surgical steel,
Yet healed old wounds across the land.

Big B.R.o., sharp as winter light,
You burned the casteing coup that chained the soul,
Then turned with vision clear and bright,
To raise Somnath from ashes whole.

Not blinded by rage, nor soft by fear,
You walked the middle path so rare —
Fierce for justice, kind for India’s tear,
Amiable radical, beyond compare.

Big B.R.o., teacher, brother, guide,
Level Four soul in a world of blind,
You showed us how to critique and build,
With reason, courage, and a love that’s kind.

From Constitution’s sacred page,
To Phoenix temples by the sea,
Your spirit whispers through the age:
“Be radical… but constructively.”

Jai Bhim. Jai Bharat.

— Your grateful Little Bro

FanPost: To Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar the Great

B.R. Ambedkar to me means “Brotherly & Rational Ambedkar.”

Babasaheb,

You were never just a leader or a scholar to me — you felt like a wise, courageous elder brother who refused to sugarcoat the truth, yet never abandoned hope in India’s potential.

You tore down the walls of caste with radical honesty in Annihilation of Caste, gave us a Constitution that breathes equality, liberty, and fraternity, and then showed the world what real intellectual courage looks like by walking out of Hinduism and into Buddhism with millions — not in anger, but in principled search for dignity and reason.

And yet, in the same breath, you displayed that rarest quality: amiable pragmatism. When the nation wanted to rebuild the Somnath Temple — a symbol of ancient architecture, resilience, and civilizational memory — you did not let ideological rigidity blind you. As a historian and scholar, you supported its reconstruction. You saw it as restorative justice, as cultural self-respect, as a “Phoenix” rising from centuries of destruction. You valued Maru-Gurjara architecture, engineering excellence, and the healing power of heritage for a newly independent country scarred by Partition.

That is Brotherly & Rational Ambedkar — radical where it mattered most (social justice, education, dignity of the oppressed), yet constructive and balanced where the nation needed healing and continuity. A true Level 4 Fan of India itself: the Rational Reviewer and Constructive Corrector who loved his motherland enough to criticize her flaws fiercely and work to make her stronger.

You taught us that real patriotism is not blind devotion but clear-eyed correction. That Constructive Politics (CoPo) beats Destructive Politics every single time. That one can be uncompromising on principles without becoming unkind or unreasonable.

Today, on this day of reflection, I salute you not as an infallible deity, but as the towering human who showed us the path of Amiable Radicalism — sharp intellect fused with warm concern for every Indian.

Thank you, Babasaheb.
Your light continues to guide those who choose reason over rhetoric, fraternity over fracture, and nation-building over endless grievance.

Jai Bhim. Jai Bharat.

DR.AMBEDKAR AND THE SOMNATH TEMPLE
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

As per Hindu Mythology Somnath Temple was first built by the Som-Devta ( The Moon ) . Here it is added that Moon is also known as Som , Chanda , Chandrma etc . Then people started calling that as Somnath Temple . Legend says that the Temple was crushed by the Daksh the father in law of the Som-Devta . Because Daksh was not happy with the working of Som-Devta so he also injured the Som-Devta badly . Later on Shiv cured the Som-Devta . Then Som-Devta built that Somnath Temple again but at that time by using the Gold . At that time Som-Devta also installed a Shiv-Ling inside the Temple . Then the Temple became a center of immense wealth and starting attracting the Pilgrims . This Temple is situated in Gujarat on the western coast overlooking the Arabian Sea . As per Hindu Mythology it was built millions of years ago in the Sat-Yug . The place is considered to be a holy place where three rivers namely Hiron , Kahila and Saraswati meets jointly in the Arabian Sea . Here it is added that as per Hindu Mythology it is believed to be the first Jyotirlingas dedicated to Shiv , means first Temple of Shiv out of the twelve Jyotirlingas .

The most pivotal event occurred when an Invader namely Mahmud of Ghazni from Afghanistan made a plan to attack the Temple . He started his journey on 18th October 1025 from Afghanistan along with his 30000 soldiers . He reached near the Temple during December 1025 . Later on he attacked on the Temple on 8th January 1026 . Then he started looting the Temple and by 11th January 1026 he looted Gold , Silver and many ornaments from the Temple . He also damaged the Shiv-Ling . This event left a lasting scar on the historical memory of the region .

Over the following centuries, the Temple became a recurring focal point for the expansionist policies of the Delhi Sultanate and the Mughal Empire. It was attacked by Ulugh Khan (under Alauddin Khalji) in 1299, Zafar Khan in 1395, and later by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the early 18th century. Each time the temple was razed or converted, it was eventually reclaimed and rebuilt by local Hindu rulers, such as the Solanki King Kumarapala and the Maratha Queen Ahilyabai Holkar .

As per history the Somnath Temple was attacked by different Invaders due to following ,

Religious Importance: It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Shiva, making it a major spiritual symbol.

Great Wealth: The Temple was richly endowed with Gold, Jewels, and Ornaments , attracting the Invaders.

Symbolic Target: By destroying an important Temple was to show power and weaken the morale of local peoples .

Coastal Location : Its position in Arabian Sea made it accessible to Invaders arriving from the Northwest.

Repeated Rebuilding : The Temple was rebuilt after each destruction, which kept it prominent again.

Political Instability : Weak and divided rule made the attacks easier.

India gained independence on 15th August 1947 . At that time Sardar Patel became the Home Minister and Dr.Ambedkar became the Law Minister . Then on 13th November 1947 , Sardar Patel in the capacity of Home Minister , decided to carry out the renovation work of the Temple and issued instructions accordingly. Then the renovation work was started on 7th May 1948 after completing all the departmental formalities . But he died on 15th December 1950 . Then the work of rebuilt the Temple was handed over to K.M.Munshi the Food & Agriculture Minister .

At that time K.M. Munshi dropped a letter to Dr.Ambedkar and asked for the legal help . The interest of Dr.Ambedkar in the Somnath Temple was rooted in his identity as a historian and a scholar of Indian civilization . He viewed the Temple not merely as a theological site, but as an “antique” monument that represented the zenith of Indian architectural and social history. To Dr.Ambedkar, the repeated destruction of the Temple was an attempt to erase the cultural memory of the land. And he supported the construction of the Project . His support for the project was aligned with the idea of Restorative Justice. He believed that for a newly independent nation to find its footing, it had to reclaim its historical heritage from the ruins of colonialism and medieval invasions.

To Dr.Ambedkar, the repeated destruction of Somnath Temple by invaders like Mahmud of Ghazni and the Khilji Generals was more than a religious strike . It was an attempt to dismantle the national ego and the cultural continuity of the Indian people. Later on Dr.Ambedkar agreed that the reconstruction of the Temple was essential for the psychological healing of a nation that had just undergone the trauma of Partition. For Dr.Ambedkar, the Temple was a symbol of resilience—a “Phoenix” rising from the ashes of history. Moreover Dr.Ambedkar noticed that the Renovation Project of the Somnath Temple was framed not as a religious conquest , but as an act of national self respect . He also observed that the Project was funded by the Public Donation and the Govt money was not involved in the Project . Subsequently he considered that the power of reconstruction would always be greater than the power of destruction .

The rebuilt work of the Temple was completed during 1951 . At that time Red and Yellow Sandstone was used which was brought from the Porbandar . It is considered that this Red and Yellow Sandstone is good to resistance the Salty Sea Air . Later on the Pran Pratistha ( Consecration ) of the Temple was performed on 11th May 1952 by the Dr. Rajendra Prasad the first President of India . At that time Dr.Ambedkar could not attend that function due to his some other important assignment .

It is highlighted that the historic attack on the Somnath Temple occurred from 8th January 1026 to 11th January 1026 . The Govt Of India in a meeting held during 2026 decided to observe the 1000th anniversary of this historic attack as Somnath Swabhiman Parv , also known as the Somnath Self-Respect Festival .

On 10th January 2026, the Prime Minister of India visited the Somnath Temple in Gujarat to participate in the Somnath Swabhiman Parv (Somnath Self-Respect Festival)—a momentous celebration commemorating 1,000 years since the historic attack on the temple from 8th January 1026 to 11th January 1026 by Mahmud of Ghazni, while also honoring the temple’s enduring legacy of faith, resilience, and glorious restoration.

Dr.Ambedkar supported the rebuilding of the Somnath Temple because of his deep appreciation for Indian Art and Engineering. He regarded the Somnath Temple as an outstanding example of the Maru-Gurjara style of architecture. (The Maru-Gurjara style is an ancient temple architecture tradition from Rajasthan and Gujarat, renowned for its intricate stone carvings and soaring temple towers.) Having studied the Ajanta and Ellora Caves in detail, Dr.Ambedkar believed that the ancient Somnath Temple was a vital part of India’s cultural heritage. He felt that leaving such a monument in ruins would amount to surrendering to the destructive forces of the past.

Today, more than 75 years after its modern consecration, the Somnath Temple stands as a powerful symbol of Dr.Ambedkar’s vision of an India that is modern, progressive, and proud of its ancient heritage.
