POEM: ” The Blood Donor” by GRP@Blr_Aug’22.
I lay on the bed to give my blood,
They prick while I stay patiently for a patient,
I tolerate the small pain for a larger gain,
I see the blood trickling and filling,
I vision the change from bloody fears to happy tears,
When the Task is done & blood given,
The donors from bed and debts have risen.
Donating blood in fact is the most egalitarian act.
Equalizes discriminations in vast; religions, genders, regions, races or any other cast.
Everyone fit can donate and anyone hit can receive,
It doesn’t matter what’s your identity, it depends only on your humanity,
When I remember the faces in worrisome context,
It’s the empathy that awaits opportunities when next,
I lay on the bed to give my blood.
