Why Hindi & English are two Official_Languages of Indian Government & not the “National-language” of India.

Short Ans: Hindi is Official(Adhikarik) Language Of India. India Doesn’t have a Raj(National) or Rastra(State) Language as per Constitution or Judiciary as on date 2023. Proof: Article 343..

2. My Personal Experience: As an Indian from the Souths (Rooted in Karnataka, Andhra & TamilNadu), I have Learnt Hindi (ICSE & Madhyama Certificate) and Love Hindi too, I have Studied Sanskrit and use Sanskrit too. I am a polyglot with liking for and speak 4 Indian Languages and learnt lil bit of German too..
But I am sad to have Faced Linguistic_Bullying in Multiple Places & Times most significant is at NID National Institute of Design(Ahmedabad) in year 2008. When I along with another 3 Bengalurean friends had been there for Interviews for Masters in Design. Where we were stopped by some NIDians and asked to sing Hindi Songs and made to sit/squat on the road while the seniors sat on chairs and this was Ragging even before interviews or admissions.
I also saw earlier in my Bachelors degree (MSR) where there was groupism among Hindi and Non-Hindi Speaking students, where Hindi Speakers where expressing dominative and superior attitudes and ganging up over the non-hindi speakers. This was creating a toxic and less safer educational environment in class. There was incidents where 3 north Indian Hindi Speakers took 3 south Indian language speaking girlfriends. This is Linguistic Love_recruitment, whereas North Indian girls moved with north Indian boys only.. so ineffect there was imbalance of pairing equity, where Northies were taking advantage over the southies, on their home turf. While there is an anti-south/Anti-Dravidian atmosphere in the north based universities and edu study places.
Such hindi-supremacism or preferrentialism also can be seen in Central Academic Institutes(IIXs), though I spoke Hindi fluently I witnessed some difficulty faced by my fellow Non-Hindi batchmates were kinda made uncomfortable to be Hindi-Ignorant are sometimes were teased too. when I was not with my Hindi Friends on other side I was made to feel uncomfortable due to reverse bias of Non-Hindism.. I was like the Cat on the wall being engaging in polylingualism, at one had encouraged to speak Hindi on other shunned for speaking hindi by non-speakers too at few instances.
This was troubling in a way, I like to speak with friends in their language of most comfort. I made friends from Multiple Linguistic Communities, the student elections are also on Linguistic basis and also there seems to be factionism and dominance of some Less-egalitarian Linguistic groups too. Inspite of this I enjoyed Learning and Education but coping with biases and prejudices takes a big toll as a student too. My advice to Youngsters Learn and respect your languages of Interest and don’t disrespect any other languages.
From 2011 onwards I did’nt face this is in a Tech Company I worked for in Bangalore. The Linguistic Diversity and Integration was good. Though there was little bit of regionalism of sort in it.
Being a Bengalurean is a lovely Diverse & inclusive place and it gives people opportunities not only in employment but also in Linguistic+Cultural Educations that is why we have multiLinguistic and Multi-cultural friendships.
No wonder Ajay Devgan response was aggressive due to Misinformation and vested interest(he is a Hindi-Only Actor) unlike other Pan-Indian Actors like RajniKanth, Prabas.. etc about righter view on ‘National Languages’ was from Karnataka by Actor Kiccha Sudeep and CM Bommai allied with it. This shows generally more Southern Indian places and particularly Bengalureans specially Nurtures more linguistic Equality & Egalitarianism. 3. Conclusion: Monopolizing or Supremacistic Tendencies of any languages(Native or Foreign origin) or ideology or sections if not seen, exposed and addressed in time can turn into threats to Free Linguistic-Expressions & Peaceful_Co-existence of Landers and Languages.
Our Indian Constitution Empowers Social-Equality & Linguistic-Egalitarianism in our Fundamental Rights Article 19, Art 21 and Art.29 (for Language-Minorities(Non-Hindi) of Freedom of Speech & Expression, liberty and Culture protects Multiple Diversity & Inclusion, Respect of Indian-Languages and cultures and helps in preventing language Monopoly & Supremacy in India.
All Indian-Language matters as It’s not only about expression but it’s also about Transmission of Richness of Traditional Wisdom and Culture. Please Stop #Language_Supremacy or #OneLanguage_Imposition and Lets Build on National Unity and Integrity not by Minimizing or Polarizing languages or cultures but by Egalitarianism promoting Diversity, Inclusion and empowerment of diffrent colors of languages and culture. That’s what’s makes us Credible & Incredible India. Not One Nation, One Language, But One Nation, 22 Official_Languages.

Dravidian languages And Non-Hindi Languages (N-E, N-W etc) all are easy targets and vulnerables of Hindi Supremacism in the Govt of India and the Hindi Belt.
Asserting dravidian languages are falsely claimed to be Supremacistic. Victim_Blaming.
We may agree Proto-Dravidians languages are older.. But we would not agree that some language is the best over all the rest in the world. Some biased political parties may have this propoganda to fire their voters pride. But defending their own native languages is right, and offending other languages is not right.
