Happy World Health Day 2021, April 7th!!

We ask and are asked a multiple times during our interactions standard questions like “Hey, How are you?” And generally answers exchanged are superficial like “im Fine”, “Ok, Good”, may be few enthusiastic people may go to “awesome”, but few receive negative phrase like “Not bad”, “surviving” or “holding on”. Is’nt it? How helpful are these interactions?

On world health day, Today I think we can make this to-fro Inter-Humane communication a little more meaningful and useful.

Proposing on using a more open ended Positively loaded question or query system which like Easter eggs can receive more relevant and useful information when asked and shared.

There are 2 options.

1.”Hey, Hows The J.O.S.H ? (Inspired from Indian movie- Uri)

Here J.O.S.H stands for the four very important Critical-Factors in our lives.(on a scale of 1-5, 5 Being happily fullfilled.)

1.Joy (Emotional),

2. Occupation-Education (Professional),

3. Surroundings (Social) &

4. Home (Personal).

Ideal is JOSH-20(5555) feeble JOSH-4(1111).

A sample conversation between Sharath, Joshua and Anvita.

Anvita: Hey Sharath, Hows the JOSH?

Sharath: Overall Good. Its 3/5 Joy4, Office3, Social2 & Home3.

Anvita: oh I see, Is ur social life is weak do you need any support from me, why not you join us for in our health club to improve it.

This Query format can help In sharing complete critical information for understanding and creating right connections for help between individuals. So any good outcomes can be generated from this conversation.

2. “Hi, How’s Your S.T.R.E.S.S Index Today?

This format of Personal Greeting & querying  can be really useful. This makes the well wishers (PriyaMitra/DearAlly) really aware of the Overall state of queried-others (Dearones/ApatMitra)

STRESS Index is the acronym for the most vital parameters of health. There is a spectrum from Distress(10), Eustress(5) to ZeroStress(0) states. Our ideal state would be in Eu or good stress level(4-6) between threshold extremes of 0 & 10.

S: Sleep (Adequate Quality(Deep)-Quantity(6-8))

T: Thoughts (Positive-Helpful or Negative-Harmful)

R: Relationships (More Strengthening, Less Weakening)

E: Eating/Environment (Energy Providing not saping)

S: Systemic Demands met (Self+Others Expectations and any other Pain points)

S: Support Systems (Crisis and coping resources having Gain points)

Anvita: Thanks for asking Sharath, aboutOverall about 3of 5: Sleep3, Thoughts2, Relations4, Eating1, SNeeds3, Support3.

Sharath: Oh I see, How may we help you in improving ur eating score its low. Are u not getting gud nutrition?

Anvita: yes I’m not having time to cook.

Sharath: Oh I See, I know a good cook in our neighborhood shall connect with you.

So as we may see, in this mode of formatted mutually understood conversations can help us exchange our Stress index to understand at deeper levels and also increase the possibility of Vital support and information to be shared in our partnerships and social interactions.

So our JOSH levels can be higher and STRESS levels under control where its interpersonally Monitored by or Dear allys(Family+Friends) so we have Eustress(good stress/pleasure) and less distress(Pain). By this we can help our situations and also be able to better help others too.
